We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Electrical Engineer - HV to lead and oversee the design of high voltage (HV) substations up to 500kV. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of HV substations, including primary and secondary systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Develop and implement protection schemes for substations, including relay coordination and settings.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure design deliverables are aligned with project schedules and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and present design reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical reviews and audits of design work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate HV designs with overall project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on HV substation design solutions.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • CPEng or equivalent certification is preferred, or the ability to meet the requirements to obtain such a license.
  • Many years of detailed experience in HV substation design at a Senior level, including primary and secondary systems.
  • Proven experience in designing protection schemes and relay coordination for substations up to 500kV.
  • Experience in leading and managing a design team, preferably with international team management experience.
