Resolve Complex Workplace Challenges
The role involves managing sensitive workplace matters, including investigations into misconduct, bullying, harassment and discrimination. You will use your expertise in workplace investigations and complex case management to plan, scope and conduct thorough investigations that are procedurally fair.
Experience in government or large complex organisations is highly regarded as you work to uphold the organisation's values and foster a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing complex workplace investigations, undertaking evidence-based analysis and preparing clear findings and recommendations, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation.
A strong understanding of legislation, policies and guidance is essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to guide leaders and employees through complex resolution processes with confidence and professionalism.
Sound judgement and independence are also crucial in handling complex cases, as is commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards and fostering respectful collaborative workplace behaviours.
As a specialist in workplace investigations, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end processes, from planning and conducting investigations to providing practical recommendations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of professionalism and discretion, are required to ensure fairness, accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of the role.

Eligibility criteria for this position include Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency.
Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements.
Specialised knowledge:
- Workplace investigations and complex case management
- Legislation, policies and guidelines related to workplace investigations
- Human resource management and employment law
Required skills and qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree in human resource management, business management, industrial relations, employment law or a related field, as well as postgraduate qualifications desirable.
Experience in conducting workplace or regulatory investigations, ideally within government or large complex organisations, is highly regarded.
Professional certification or training in workplace investigations and complex case management is advantageous.
