Technical Operations Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Assistant to join our Building Services team on a casual basis. This role will involve managing base building technical services and general building operations during events. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance and troubleshooting for technical issues encountered by employees or patrons.
  • Keeping records of maintenance activities, technical issues, and resolutions.
  • Responding promptly to technical emergencies, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs and potential hazards.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication of technical information and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational skills for task and inventory management, with attention to detail in documentation and procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, handle emergencies, and work varied hours.
  • Collaboration and contribution to the work environment, with demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Proficiency in maintenance tools and equipment, along with a thorough understanding of OH&S practices and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using technology for maintaining electronic records.
  • First Aid certification.
