Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Career Coaching specialist to join our team. As a passionate advocate, you will empower individuals with disability to achieve their employment goals and thrive in a meaningful career.

Main Responsibilities

  • Individual Advocacy: Provide direct support to participants, helping them understand their rights and responsibilities, develop personalised employment plans, and build confidence through ongoing coaching.
  • Systemic Advocacy: Identify and report on systemic issues to contribute to broader advocacy efforts and influence positive change in policies and practices.
  • Case Management: Manage your own caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping and compliance with all program guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience: A proven track record of working with and advocating for people with disability, with a deep understanding of social justice and human rights.
  • Skill Set: Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. You'll be highly organised, a great problem-solver, and proficient with data management systems.
  • Knowledge Base: Expertise in the disability sector, including an understanding of relevant legislation. You should also have experience in employment services, including job search techniques and workplace coaching.
  • Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field like Human Services, Social Work, or Community Services, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
