Oncology Registrar Position

We are seeking an exceptional medical professional to fill this challenging role.

  • Responsibilities include assessing and managing ambulant medical oncology patients requiring treatment within the WP Holman Clinic outpatient facility, Launceston General Hospital.
  • Working with junior medical staff assigned to the care of inpatient medical oncology patients at the Launceston General Hospital including participation in the on-call roster with Consultant Support.
About the Role:

This advanced trainee position is part of the Northern Cancer Service, providing comprehensive cancer care to the population of Northern/North West Tasmania (250,000 people).

Treatment centres are located at the WP Holman Clinic, Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Cancer Centre, Burnie, and the Mersey Community Hospital.

The oncology service at the Launceston General Hospital (where the advanced trainee position is based) provides an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment.
