We are seeking a Care Specialist to support adults with disabilities in Brisbane North. As a valued member of our team, you will work with individuals to assist them with daily living tasks, social activities, and community participation.

**Job Summary:**

The Disability Support Worker role involves providing individualized care and support to people with disabilities in their homes or community settings. This includes assisting with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and transportation. You will also be required to follow behavioral support plans and work collaboratively with the client's support network.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with disabilities in their homes or community settings
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary needs and preferences
  • Accompany clients on outings and activities in the community
  • Follow behavioral support plans and work collaboratively with the client's support network
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities using company vehicles or personal vehicle (if applicable)

**Requirements:**

  • Certificate III or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g. disability support, aged care)
  • Experience working with people with disabilities (paid or volunteer experience)
  • Australian driver's license and Queensland motor vehicle registration
  • First aid certificate and CPR certification
  • NDIS worker screening check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year based on 20 hours per week
