Procurement Excellence Opportunity

A strategic procurement specialist is sought to drive value and efficiency in the delivery of goods, services, and works for the Queensland Government.

About the Role:

This key position will lead end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex procurement projects from planning to contract management and evaluation.
  • Developing procurement strategies that support business objectives.
  • Preparing and evaluating tender documentation and contract terms.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Providing expert advice on procurement policies and best practices to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
About You:

To succeed, you will have:

  • Experience managing end-to-end procurement, preferably in government or large organisations.
  • Knowledge of Queensland Government procurement policies or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, business, law, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Experience at a senior level in procurement, with a focus on driving value and efficiency.
