Responsibilities:

  • Working under the direction of the Head Chef to prepare and cook a variety of plant-based dishes.">
  • Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning and execution, with attention to seasonal and sustainable ingredients.">
  • Assisting in daily kitchen preparation, including cleaning, cutting, and marinating food.">
  • Following prep lists and ensuring the kitchen is ready for service.">
  • Coordinating with other kitchen and wait staff to deliver timely, high-quality service.">
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.">
  • Contributing creative ideas and supporting the development of new recipes.">
  • Ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of dishes.">
  • Accepting feedback and working with the Head Chef to make improvements.">

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a higher-level qualification in cookery or a related field.">
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen practices.">
  • Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Understanding of stock rotation, food handling, and kitchen operations.">
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.">
  • A passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning.">
