About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Ambulatory Care Service. The successful candidate will provide senior nursing leadership and care coordination for patients with drug and alcohol issues in SESLHD hospital and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning across multiple sites, including hospital admissions specific to drug and alcohol patients.
  • Lead the provision and development of clinical practice by utilising evidence-based research and current NSW Health Policies related to D&A treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carers, and a diverse range of healthcare providers, including those in government, non-government, and community organisations.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and improve opportunities to enhance continuity of care between the acute sector and community-based services.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the drug and alcohol specialty.
  • Current NSW Driver's License with a proven good driving record and willingness to use for work purposes.
