Project and Policy Officer

Join the NSW Department of Communities and Justice as a Project and Policy Officer and contribute to the development of an emerging domestic and family violence (DFV) perpetrator interventions sector.
About the RoleThis role is an opportunity for a committed project and policy professional to support sector development initiatives and contribute to the implementation of the NSW Government's Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) program of work.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of policy and project initiatives to support the growth of a capable DFV perpetrator interventions sector.
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to deliver projects and initiatives that support building sector capacity and delivery of best practice DFV perpetrator interventions.
- Use project, policy, critical thinking, and contract management skills to deliver projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Understanding of the criminal justice system as it relates to domestic violence and/or the domestic violence service system.
- Experience with contract management and delivery of programs and initiatives that support the domestic violence service sector.
- Project management and related administrative skills to support project delivery and policy development.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social work, domestic violence, law, psychology, sociology, or criminology, or equivalent level experience.
