Job Title: Equine Educator

We are seeking a highly experienced and capable equine educator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for educating young horses, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the horse training regime.

• Educate young horses and supervise all associated activities in the horse training regime, including veterinary care, vet liaison, transport of horses, and activities with support services;
• Supervise staff and set rosters;
• Advise on factors affecting horses and their education;
• Supervise horse feeding program to ensure optimum fitness and performance, and maintain supplies as required;

• A minimum of 3 years' full-time professional experience in the role or 2 years' full-time experience and a relevant qualification;
• Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing;
• Proven ability to train, ride, and educate young horses;
• Ability to assist with starting your horses;
• Effective oral and written communication skills to take instruction and provide information;
• Ability to work in a team and independently (or proven management experience if the position is for a foreperson role);
• Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses;

• International experience;
• A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification;
