One of the world's largest asset managers, headquartered in Australia, seeks a skilled Machine Learning data engineer to join their elite team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves designing, building, and operating Machine Learning solutions as part of a leading global investment bank and financial services company. You will work closely with various stakeholders to execute their data science and machine learning strategy.

Skill Sets

To excel in this role, you need:

  • Strong previous experience in Data (Data Engineering, Data Science or Analysis).
  • 5+ years experience as a data engineer in an agile devops environment using object-oriented development languages (Java, Python).
  • Able to implement MLOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using cloud technologies and integrating with ML services (GCP Vertex AI, DataRobot or AWS SageMaker) in large and complex organisations.
  • Experience with SQL and Python environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in deploying, producing and maintaining Machine learning pipelines.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders across business units to service their requirements.
  • Involved in building the platform and pipeline for data scientists to develop models.
  • Real time data model productionisation experience is highly regarded.
  • End-to-end ownership of the entire lifecycle of models.
  • Model blueprint to deployment drifting checks involved.
  • Collaboration with data engineers and data scientists.

A competitive salary of AUD 180,000 - AUD 220,000 per annum is on offer for this position, making it an excellent career path opportunity.
