Job Title: Casual Maintenance Assistant

The primary objective of this role is to provide support to the Maintenance Supervisor in performing day-to-day general maintenance tasks, ensuring that apartments are well-maintained and meet a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily checks on apartments to identify and address any maintenance requirements prior to guest arrivals
  • Maintain all aspects of property health and safety
  • Assist Housekeeping and Front Office teams as needed
  • Perform various apartment maintenance duties, including but not limited to painting, cleaning, changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures and fittings, and tuning televisions
  • Be available to work on weekends and public holidays if required
  • Work primarily from Wednesday to Saturday, with occasional assistance at other locations
  • Operate, maintain, and repair equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Order and receive stock and other requisitions
  • Repair or replace door locks, knobs, and perform general carpentry or cabinet work as needed
  • Pick up and deliver furniture
  • Maintain spreadsheets and Word documents as necessary
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Property Manager or Head of Housekeeping
  • Be available for emergency maintenance duties on nights, weekends, and public holidays if required

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in property maintenance (required)
  • Full Driver Licence (required)
  • Australia Work Authorisation (required)
