Business Growth Specialist

About the Role
Lunar Outpost Oceania is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Growth Specialist to contribute to our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities in the commercial, civil space sector, as well as the defence sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development and innovation within the space or defence sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and capture new business opportunities
- Collaborate with industry partners, stakeholders, decision makers, customers, and internal personnel to enhance the probability of capture success
- Develop and improve business development processes and related areas to increase future success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business field
- 5+ years of experience in business development and innovation within the space or defence sector, or related field
- Experience performing contract capture in the Australian aerospace or defence ecosystems
- Prior knowledge and experience in the RFP process
- Demonstrated success winning contracts
- Knowledge of government policies and regulations that impact our organization's operations in Australia
- Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
- Must be able to attain and hold NV1 security clearance
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a leadership role performing contract capture
- Deep knowledge of aerospace, defence and technology industries and markets with existing contact network
- Previous experience in a systems integration program
- Contract negotiation or positioning experience
- Experience working in a startup environment
