Professional Psychologist Role

This is an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary service providing holistic and culturally informed best practice interventions for young people living in Out of Home Care.

As part of the Psychological and Specialist Services team, you will be working to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions and other professional services to client groups including children, young people, families and carers.

The role will involve working with highly vulnerable children and families who are fantastic to work with. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in their lives.

Provisional registration, new graduates, or students near the end of their degree are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions and other professional services to client groups.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic and culturally informed best practice interventions for young people living in Out of Home Care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families to ensure positive outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes.
  • Experience: Knowledge of therapeutic frameworks for child abuse, neglect, and trauma.
  • Driver's Licence: willingness to travel as required.

You will be working in an evidenced based trauma service being trained, supervised and supported by clinical supervisors who are experts in the field.
