Business Development Manager

**Job Summary**
The Business Development Manager - Revenue Growth Specialist is responsible for driving new business revenue for News Corp Australia by engaging with new and lapsed clients, identifying business needs, and proactively meeting those through multi-media solutions to achieve revenue targets and performance metrics.
**Key Responsibilities**
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue generation from virtual advertising opportunities.
Continuously expand their knowledge, exploring new advertising opportunities, and identifying innovative approaches to drive business growth.
Understand client needs, recommend appropriate advertising solutions, and provide customised proposals that align with their business objective.
Deliver persuasive sales presentations, conduct F2F meetings and negotiations with clients, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advertising platforms to maintain a competitive edge and identify new business opportunities.
Accountable for fostering and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business needs, and aligning advertising solutions to meet those needs.
Track sales performance, monitor market trends, analyse data, and provide regular reports to management on revenue projections, pipeline, and key performance indicators.
Accountable for continuously expanding their knowledge, exploring new advertising opportunities, and identifying innovative approaches to drive business growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, creative, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns and exceed client expectations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members, help foster a positive and high-performance sales culture, and contribute to the overall success of the sales organisation.
**Requirements**
Ability to execute effective cold calling – opening a professional sales call, engaging with a prospect using deliberate questioning to uncover a need/problem we can solve. Gaining agreement with the prospect to do a discovery meeting.
At least 12 months of outbound sales experience meeting/exceeding sales targets
Experience in providing sales based solutions – either face to face or virtual
Experience working in Media/Advertising sales (desirable)
Experience working in a deadline driven environment
Proactive, acquisition &/or new business experience
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Excellent spelling and grammatical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Resilient, determined, tenacious and positive mindset is a must
