
Early Years Development Officer

As a specialist in early childhood support, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored services to children and families based on their unique needs and priorities. This position requires collaboration with families as equal partners to plan goals and supports that align with the PITC program guidelines and National Guidelines for Best Practice in Early Childhood Intervention.
- Implement supportive strategies that cater to individual family needs, ensuring personalized, responsive, and flexible services.
- Utilize assessments, observations, and developmental knowledge to identify tailored support options, then collaborate with families to develop and implement effective plans.
- Enhance knowledge, skills, and confidence in families, carers, and professionals through supportive approaches, enabling them to acquire new skills in everyday environments.
- Promote inclusion by connecting children with community and mainstream settings, fostering seamless integration.
- Document conversations, developmental information, goals, and outcomes accurately within the NDIA business system, adhering to the NDIS Performance Management Framework.
- A degree in Early Childhood, Teaching, Social Work, or Behaviour Support is required.
- Exceptional time management, workload prioritization, and deadline meeting skills are essential.
- High-level verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are necessary for building strong relationships.
- Ability to establish rapport and develop respectful relationships with families and children is crucial.
- Capability to design and implement group and individual interventions for children with disability or developmental delay is a must.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, personal resilience, and tenacity are vital for success in this role.
- Advanced computer literacy is also required.
- Ability to travel between office locations and meet with families and services in the community is necessary.
