Job Description

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters seeks a motivated individual to coordinate volunteer services and programs. The successful applicant will work with a team of volunteers and contribute to the well-being of our citizens.

  • Coordinate the entire volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training development, retention, and offboarding.
  • Identify, develop, and promote volunteering opportunities and increase volunteer participation rates across the city.
  • Evaluate risks associated with each volunteer position and take appropriate action in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in administrative roles, and a passion for community development.

  • Support a high-performing and compliant Volunteer Services Program.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff working with volunteers across various Council programs and services.
  • Design and develop new initiatives and programs in Volunteering and Community Development.

The successful applicant must hold a National Criminal Record Clearance and Working with Children Clearance.
