Our organization is seeking a skilled Senior Housing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be responsible for approving high and very high need social housing applications and transfers, as well as quality assuring application assessments.

In addition to this, the Senior Housing Officer will develop effective professional relationships with stakeholders to improve customer outcomes and processes, and manage formal internal and external complaints and facilitating resolutions.

The role also involves representing the department in appeals and attending the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

A key aspect of this position is supervising team activities, exercising delegation as required, including monitoring performance, workload management, addressing operational issues and reporting.

The Senior Housing Officer will also manage and assess properties, conducting condition appraisal inspections and providing advice on maintenance requirements.

Furthermore, the role involves contributing to portfolio renewal plans and implementation of property developments.

Regional roles may involve intra-state travel overnight, working in changeable and potentially volatile conditions that require varying degrees of vigilance and risk management.
