Senior Insolvency Accountant Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a boutique firm specializing in insolvency and restructuring, located in the City of Brisbane. As a Senior Insolvency Accountant, you will be involved in a diverse portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of formal insolvency appointments, including trade-on management, asset realisations, and statutory compliance.
  • Assist senior staff on advisory and informal engagements, such as Independent Business Reviews and turnaround assignments.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, investigations, and reporting to identify key issues and potential recoveries.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, recommendations, and correspondence for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, legal advisors, banks, and other relevant parties.
  • Ensure meticulous accuracy and compliance in maintaining working papers and case files.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented accountant with 1-3 years of experience working within Corporate Insolvency and/or Restructuring. To succeed, you will have:

  • A strong interest and drive to learn within the insolvency and restructuring field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
