The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team in Canberra. As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of physical and psychological claims within our Federal Self-Insurance business unit. You will work closely with our self-insured clients and injured workers to provide guidance and support throughout the workers compensation process.
Your Responsibilities
- Proactively manage mental health and physical claims, utilizing exceptional customer service and decision-making skills to make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
- Adopt a service-oriented approach focused on early intervention and the interests of all stakeholders.
- Facilitate active participation of the injured worker and their employer in return to work and recovery planning.
- Bring your existing skills to a team aligned with Federal Self-Insurance and do more of what you love or learn something new.
About You
- You will have a background in customer service.
- You will display a high level of empathy and resilience when supporting injured workers through your customer-centric approach.
- You will be proactive, strategically focused, and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders.
- You will have strong communication skills and be able to build rapport and confidence with customers.
- You will effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
