We are seeking an experienced Sterilising Technician to join our CSSD team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of sterilising duties in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing, maintaining and distributing reusable medical devices required by Operating Theatres and Wards
  • Collecting contaminated reusable medical devices from wards and designated departments for delivery to CSSD
  • Packaging equipment for sterilisation
  • Assisting with validation and routine control of decontamination and sterilisation process
  • Attending to the transportation, storage, rotation and handling of supplies
  • Monitoring decontamination/sterilisation process, checking and maintaining all reprocessing and sterilisation records.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in sterilisation within a hospital setting
  • A strong customer service-orientated mindset
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A methodical approach to work and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to comply with quality standards, policy and procedures
