Sterilising Services Technician Role

SA Health is seeking a skilled Sterilising Services Technician to join the Central Casual Pool at the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network.


About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the effective delivery of sterilisation services by processing surgical instruments according to the AS/NZS 4187 standard.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process surgical instruments in accordance with AS/NZS 4187
  • Work collaboratively with an inter-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality sterilisation services
  • Display our values of Trust, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration and Kindness

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • AQF Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Experience in a perioperative and CSSD department
  • Sound knowledge of a range of instruments, sterilising methods and infection control principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances
