As a seasoned professional, you will drive the development of simulation and decision-support tools that propel mining operations toward net zero emissions.
You'll be at the forefront of decarbonisation initiatives, managing AI-powered tools such as haul truck simulation and dispatch optimisation systems. These tools support informed, more sustainable choices in equipment types, battery configurations, and operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the vision and roadmap for AI solutions supporting decarbonisation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with mining engineers and operations teams to understand their needs and drive adoption of AI-driven solutions.
- Manage the development and iteration of simulation and dispatch tools, ensuring they deliver tangible value to mining operations.
- Translate business requirements into actionable product specifications, user stories, and sprint plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in AI solution development or technical mining disciplines with a strong track record of delivering impactful projects.
- Deep understanding of mining operations, especially with tools like Minestar FMS or RPMGlobal products.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and operational teams.
- Proven experience in agile project delivery, including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with AI applications in heavy industry, especially those enhancing productivity, automation, and sustainability.
