**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our team at Black Press Media. As a community reporter, you will be responsible for covering a wide range of news, features, arts, culture, and sports stories that will be published locally and potentially across our Canadian network.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Write engaging and informative articles for print and online publications.
  • Produce high-quality video content, including shooting and editing.
  • Take photographs and edit images for publication.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the local community and its needs.
  • Work closely with the Managing Editor to plan and assign stories.
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements**

  • Superior writing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of breaking news reporting and the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of basic photography and photo editing.
  • Videography skills, including shooting and editing.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong understanding of CP Style and ability to write using this style.
