**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our team at Black Press Media. As a community reporter, you will be responsible for covering a wide range of news, features, arts, culture, and sports stories that will be published locally and potentially across our Canadian network.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Write engaging and informative articles for print and online publications.
- Produce high-quality video content, including shooting and editing.
- Take photographs and edit images for publication.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the local community and its needs.
- Work closely with the Managing Editor to plan and execute coverage of local events and stories.
**Requirements**
- Superior writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of breaking news reporting and the ability to work under deadline.
- Competence in clean, readable, and writerly copy.
- Knowledge of basic photography and photo editing.
- Videography skills, including shooting and editing.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
