We are seeking an experienced and skilled Professional to lead our Perioperative department in Melbourne.

  • Our ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and be able to oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
  • They will support and collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards;
  • Ensure all theatres are adequately staffed and operated cost-effectively;
  • Familiarity with legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilisation standards is essential;
  • The ability to understand accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management principles is also required.

About the Role:

  • Current registration with AHPRA is a must;
  • A tertiary qualification in a Health-related discipline or Management (or working towards) would be advantageous;
  • A minimum of 4 years of management experience in a similar setting is preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing targets and achieving results;
  • A high level of computer literacy, including MS Office, is necessary;
  • Experience in a leadership position in a healthcare setting would be beneficial;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are crucial.
