About the Role

Transit Systems NSW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our e-mobility and fleet management initiatives. As our General Manager E-Mobility, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive the adoption of electric vehicles and reduce our carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement e-mobility and fleet strategies to align with sustainability goals and market trends.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of our EV fleet, including vehicle maintenance, charging infrastructure, and logistics.
  • Project Management: Manage complex projects related to procurement, contract negotiations, infrastructure development, and fleet expansion.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and monitor financial models and forecasts for fleet operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and enhance sustainability practices within the fleet.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Transportation, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years in fleet management or e-mobility, with a successful track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with expertise in regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative e-mobility and fleet strategies aligned with sustainability goals.
  • In-depth understanding of electric vehicle technology, charging infrastructure, and fleet management systems.
  • Experience in managing complex projects including procurement, contract negotiations, and infrastructure development.
  • Skilled in developing financial models, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high service quality.
  • Knowledgeable in health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations, ensuring operational compliance.
  • Strong capability in fostering relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Dedicated to advancing sustainability and reducing carbon footprints within the fleet.
