About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset Management Services Contract team.



Job Description

  • This is a permanent position offering an attractive annualised salary of approximately AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining instrumentation, communication and monitoring systems throughout the tunnels.
  • The ideal candidate will have trade qualification in Electrician and extensive experience with respect to all associated electrical/electronic/instrumentation and communication works associated with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and other traffic control systems.
  • A working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel is essential, as well as ability to learn and use general systems/software when necessary to support the position.
  • The role requires a NSW Drivers License (MR or greater), Confined space entry ticket, Working from Elevated Work Platforms ticket and White Card.


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in Electrician
  • Extensive experience in ITS and traffic control systems
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • NSW Drivers License (MR or greater)

About the Company

Ventia was awarded the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset Management Services contract by Transport for NSW in April 2022. Under this contract, Ventia will provide operations, maintenance, and strategic asset management services for a period of approximately 15 years with a further 2 x10 year options for extension.

The role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a mix of day and night shifts. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively in a team setting.
