Trustworthy Homecare Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and experienced homecare assistant to provide top-notch care for two 10-month-old boys and occasionally a four-year-old girl. This is a collaborative care position, where the children from two families reside in the same suburb and require care primarily from one home.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in childcare and be familiar with the developmental milestones for this age group. They must be passionate about early childhood education and engaging children in enriching activities and games both indoors and outdoors.

The homecare assistant should be highly organized, meticulous, and an exceptional communicator. They must be patient, kind, and caring, with experience in children's nutrition being highly regarded. Additionally, experience with the Magda Gerber/Janet Lansbury model of RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) or as a Montessori teacher is also desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Caring for the children and facilitating their days
  • All childcare-related duties
  • Maintaining the children in a consistent routine
  • Researching and implementing developmentally appropriate games and activities
  • Toy and book rotations and creating invitations to play/playscapes in the play areas
  • Tidying living areas and children's bedrooms as required
  • Providing updates and communication to both families
  • Washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry
  • Changing linen and towels
  • Organising pantry, fridge, and toy storage.
