Job Summary

We're seeking a Provisional Psychologist or experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our Psych Regional Teams. As a key member of our team, you'll work with clients with psychological disorders, creating and monitoring rehabilitation plans to help them gradually return to work. You'll develop the skills needed to conduct motivational interviews and influence stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological or physical injury
  • Complete initial and psychometric assessments, identifying suitable goals
  • Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
  • Organise appropriate intervention with stakeholders
  • Provide vocational counselling
  • Conduct vocational assessments
  • Attend medical appointments and structured intervention-based programs with clients
  • Complete reports after assessments and meetings
  • Communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnoses and treatment
  • Facilitate a safe and timely graduated return to work
  • Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements
Requirements
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist
  • Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Car and valid Driver's license
  • Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
