Project Director

  • This is a leadership role where you will oversee project execution to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and customer requirements.
  • You will lead and manage projects from initiation through completion, developing and maintaining detailed Project Management Plans.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

About This Role

  • We are looking for a candidate who is confident, proactive, autonomous, rigorous, and organized.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience in Project Management in Defence or similar highly regulated environment.
  • A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.

  • Australian Department of Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1
  • Customer focused
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Interest in advanced technologies
  • Strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Defence Acquisition and Sustainment contracts
  • Specialised knowledge and/or practical application of naval sensor systems (e.g. optronics, Infra-Red tracking)
