Design Engineer Position

This role involves contributing to product development projects from concept sketches through to field release and customer hand-over.

  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for end-to-end product development projects.
  • Assist with prototype builds, workshop tests, and in-field validation of designs.
  • Perform engineering calculations and undertake validation of products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, production, and supply-chain teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs.
  • Document engineering changes and update records for manufacture.
  • Develop and maintain product support documentation, manuals, and technical guides.
  • Support machine commissioning, training, and the company's customer demonstration activities in Australia and overseas.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (PDM experience advantageous).
  • A passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A disciplined and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally to field sites for product deployment and support.
