At the forefront of innovation, we seek a seasoned electronics engineer to spearhead our downhole geophysics team. Located in Welshpool WA, you will be tasked with transitioning a cutting-edge spectroscopy tool from prototype to production version.

As a lead electronics engineer, you will oversee a small team of engineers, collaborating across multiple disciplines to drive project success. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering market-leading technology and advancing the boundaries of geophysics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads a small engineering team to achieve project goals, remaining hands-on in electronics.
  • Develops and supports advanced geophysical logging and telemetry tools from end-to-end.
  • Designs and reviews electronic assemblies and firmware using Linux, C++, and Python.
  • Provides hands-on design, testing, assembly, and repair of geophysical tools and components.
  • Contributes to product innovation, documentation, and scalable manufacturing.
  • Supports multiple projects with electronic control expertise and technical guidance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience and 3+ years leadership or project management experience.
  • Proven expertise in digital signal processing, fast ADCs, MCAs, and Zynq-based applications.
  • Skilled in hardware design: VHDL/Verilog, Xilinx/Altera platforms, analogue/digital circuits, CAD, and simulation tools.
  • Proficient in firmware and controller development, with Linux, C++, and Python programming experience.
  • Strong cross-disciplinary understanding and safety-conscious approach aligned with engineering standards.
