Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, processing payroll, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budget preparation and forecasting activities.

The successful candidate will have the skills and qualifications necessary to ensure accurate and timely completion of these tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyse financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Payroll Processing
  • Closing Processes: Manage month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and on time.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, ensuring discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.
  • Budget Assistance: Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
