About the Role:
This is a clinical support role where you will work with the management of the home and the carers to provide tailored and individualised responsive care for the residents.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be a core member of the residential team and will be responsible for advising and supporting the care delivery by the care staff, educating and mentoring in clinical areas and processes, and consultative in case management and clinical decision making.
The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for people living with dementia and their needs, and will have a genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising and supporting the care delivery by the care staff
- Educating and mentoring in clinical areas and processes
- Consultative in case management and clinical decision making
- Clinical oversight and professional competence as a Registered Nurse
- Implement and support a resident comfort focus
Requirements:
- Experience is essential for this position
- Able to commit to a range of NIGHT shifts including some weekends
- Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
- Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
- Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & you want to make a difference in their lives
- Strong Admin and computer skills
- Have current AHPRA registration with ideally 2-3 years' experience
