The Legal Counsel role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Legal, Australia & New Zealand, in a dynamic in-house position. This broad role enables individuals to contribute to global legal initiatives and cross-border projects while providing timely, commercially aware advice locally.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts is a key aspect of this position.
- Providing expert guidance on intellectual property, corporate governance, and employment law matters is essential.
- Supporting business stakeholders with commercially aware legal advice is crucial for success.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of legal processes and contract frameworks will be a valuable asset.
- A minimum of 4-8 years' post-admission experience, preferably starting in a top-tier law firm, followed by in-house experience.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills are necessary for this role.
- Experience in corporate and commercial law, particularly intellectual property or agribusiness, is highly desirable.
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to advise diverse stakeholders are vital.
