Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, contributing to the availability and performance of mining equipment. The role involves ensuring reliability and optimal electrical maintenance plans to meet production targets, adhering to statutory, safety, health, budget, and environmental requirements.

The successful candidate will undertake preventative maintenance tasks and attend to equipment breakdowns safely and efficiently, while ensuring all electrical activities comply with relevant safety and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of plant equipment.
  • Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge and expertise to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain working knowledge of task instructions and procedures when carrying out maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure high-level housekeeping and accurate record-keeping during work.
  • Perform electrical inspections of opencut electrical equipment and/or fixed plant electrical systems.
  • Diagnose faults and effect repairs to electrical equipment and field devices.
  • Test and tag electrical equipment/appliances.
  • Execute electrical isolations/lockouts in accordance with site SHMS procedures.
  • Carry out statutory inspections and testing of safety devices.
  • Preferrably have experience in Dragline and Electric Rope Shovels maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Experience and knowledge in PLC-controlled equipment and systems.
  • A basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems.
Requirements
  • A current QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic trade certification.
  • Current Senior First Aid/CPR & LVR certificates or ability to complete.
  • HV Switching Qualifications – Desirable but not mandatory.
  • High Risk Work License (EWP).
  • Current Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates.
  • A Manual C-class Australian Driver's Licence.
