- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with drivers, allocators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
A background in refrigerated transport industry and knowledge of NHVR regulations and safety compliance is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the team, supervising and supporting allocators, drivers, and forklift operators to ensure peak performance.
- Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance and safety by enforcing NHVR regulations, fatigue laws, and company safety policies.
- Optimize fleet and logistics operations by coordinating freight movement for efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Resource allocation and scheduling to ensure the right people, trucks, and equipment are in place to meet demand.
- Maintain high operational standards and implement best practices through process and performance improvement.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in a similar field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- An awareness of regulatory requirements, including OH&S and environmental regulations.
