We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Women's Healthcare Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Post-Natal ward with a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians, and neonatologists.
This is a full-time and part-time position available, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that supports your passion for women's healthcare. You will be working across the Birth Unit and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis as required.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based midwifery care and providing exceptional patient experience to women and their families. You will also liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based midwifery care to women and their families
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct, and guide midwifery/nursing team members to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to mothers and their families
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
