About the Role
This role is a key part of the ANZ Group's commitment to protecting customer data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
As a Privacy Officer, you will provide specialist advice on the implementation of the Suncorp Bank Privacy Policy and support standards, ensuring that the bank is in compliance with the Privacy Act and mandatory reporting of data breaches.
You will also contribute to submissions on regulatory and industry change, providing input and expertise to shape the bank's approach to data protection.
The role will be responsible for providing advice to the business on interpretation and implementation of frameworks and policy, as well as providing oversight of the implementation of Privacy frameworks and policy.
You will work closely with the Executive Manager Compliance Advisory to manage and promote effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management, providing strategic and specialist second line of defence oversight and compliance advice.
The role will also involve providing strong subject matter expertise on the regulatory compliance environment, obligations, licences and key projects, as well as supporting the breach management framework and assisting with ASIC and APRA license administration activities.
What will you bring?
To succeed in this role, you will need to have extensive years of regulatory compliance, risk management, legal or commercial experience in the financial services industry.
You will also need to have strong technical knowledge of Australian Privacy requirements, regulatory guidance, industry codes and related processes, as well as strong collaboration and team skills.
Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk-based manner, you will also need to have proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise.
