About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Babcock. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely financial information and advice to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and advice to business unit and programme managers to enable them to exercise effective financial control and make informed decisions.
  • Contract Pricing: Participate in frequent contract pricing activities to support strategic business growth and ensure timely and accurate cash recovery in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce and analyze financial reports in accordance with the issued monthly timetable, including the preparation of monthly performance packs for management reviews.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Lead financial performance reviews with operational stakeholders and senior management, and manage and coach members of staff to maintain the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Requirements
  • Accounting Qualification: Hold a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent/similar.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of Excel and sound technical knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
