Job Title: Maintenance Operations Manager

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a trade qualified Correctional Officer, responsible for training and supervising inmates and staff in their work-related activities within a correctional centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in improving the work skills and post-release employment prospects of inmates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them to improve their work skills and enhance their post-release employment prospects.
  • Oversee the activities of the team to ensure productivity efficiency and commercial objectives are achieved while meeting Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements, and customer service needs.
Requirements
  • Possess a trade qualification in relevant fields such as Horticulture, Construction, Carpentry, Plumbing, or other related trades.
  • Hold a current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or have the capacity to complete it within specified timeframes.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver Licence and be prepared to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
  • Be willing to work across varying trades in a flexible manner to support the team.
  • Proven post-trade experience.
  • Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Meet the Key Accountabilities and Focus Capabilities of the role.
  • The ability and willingness to work on a 5-day roster with rotating shifts.
