Rydges Resort Hunter Valley

Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is part of EVT, and we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to support the Director of Food & Beverage with the daily operations of our $20 million F&B Department in the Hunter Valley wine region. This hands-on role leads the day-to-day operations of all hotel F&B outlets to meet EVT quality, guest and employee standards, and departmental revenue and profit goals. You will build, motivate and lead a high-performing team to deliver results and a memorable guest experience.

Located in the heart of Australia's premier wine region, Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is a vibrant 418-room resort and a destination for leisure, conferences and events. The resort features three distinct F&B outlets: Gather Restaurant (breakfast buffet and evening dining), Vista Bar (lobby bar with cocktails and snacks), and Lovedale Bar + Grill (pizzas, steaks and more). It is NSW's largest regional Conference and Events Centre with capacity for up to 1,100 attendees across 15 meeting rooms. • Provide a hands-on approach to the coordination and management of the Hotel's Food and Beverage outlets.
• As head of department, supervise the F&B Outlet Managers/Supervisors to ensure duties are performed to the required standard.
• Ensure service standards are maintained and the policies and procedures of the Hotel are upheld at all times.
• Maintain a high level of visibility, monitor service delivery and assist in the operations as required.
• Regularly report on the status of the outlets and any activities that may influence trade and outlet operations to the Director of Food & Beverage.

• Extensive experience: Significant experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry.
• Communication skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for delivering results and fostering the development of your team.
• Relationship management: Proven ability to manage complex relationships, interacting positively with guests, staff, owners and third-party partners, reflecting well on the hotel and the brand.
• Certifications: Valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certification and a current driver's license.
