The Role

As a member of the Associated Public Schools (APS) and Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria (AGSV), we are seeking a highly experienced coach to inspire our students to achieve their full potential. Our purpose is to enable quality learning every day, in every experience, for every learner, for life, and our Rowing program is an integral component of this vision. It provides students with physical and social development, as well as opportunities for them to develop life-skills while enjoying the experience with their friends.

Key Duties


  • Assist in the planning of the training and competition program in conjunction with the Head of Rowing.
  • Develop technical skill, fitness, teamwork, and leadership capabilities for all students.
  • Provide performance feedback and analysis to students.
  • Provide equitable opportunities to students to achieve their highest potential during the season and demonstrate their capacity and progress on merit.
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.


Skills and Experience


  • Bring specialist knowledge and experience, passion, and enthusiasm to coach, mentor, and role model for our students.
  • Be available to meet all of the Rowing program requirements (as directed by the Head of Rowing), including pre-season, training, holiday training, and all APS & Non APS fixtures.
  • Hold appropriate Coaching Accreditation and have relevant and current coaching experience at secondary school level or within an elite community sports program.
  • Level 1 First Aid and Anaphylaxis Certification or be prepared to obtain these.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
