Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

A pharmacy technician plays a crucial role in the delivery of patient care by assisting pharmacists with dispensing medication, maintaining accurate records and providing technical support for the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of imprest stock requirements for all wards and departments.
  • Assistance with maintaining pharmacy stock and pharmacy records related to clinical trials.
  • Coordination of outreach clinic requirements.
  • Assistance with the dispensing of inpatient, outpatient, discharge, Emergency Department and Clinical Trials prescriptions.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course or equivalent.

• Demonstrated pharmacy dispensing experience with high level competency.

• Ability to work independently and productively as an effective team member.

• Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

• Attention to fine details and accuracy at work.

• Commitment to personal and professional development.

• Commitment to upholding the principles and values of the organisation.
