About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Testing Delivery Lead to join our Portfolio Delivery Division at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of digital capabilities that support AEMO's obligations across all jurisdictions and markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and drive testing activities across System Integration, User Acceptance, Industry, and Non-Functional test levels.
  • Assess automation requirements and deliver targeted automation test scripts.
  • Accountable for delivering all testing activities and artefacts for allocated workstreams within projects/programs.
  • Evaluate project and/or software release test plans against business requirements for functionality, process, security, and compatibility.
  • Ensure project and/or release test data suites align with coverage requirements of test plans and strategies.
  • Verify test environments are configured for functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Execute project and/or release test plans, logging and tracking issues in a defect management system.
  • Balance appropriate test coverage versus risk while meeting project timelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines for deployment, self-driven mindset with tenacity to solve problems and deliver outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in test team leadership, managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Experienced in working with multiple methodologies, including traditional, incremental (agile) delivery, and hybrid.
  • Knowledge supporting 24x7 Technology Systems.
  • Incident, problem-solving, and technical documentation maintenance abilities.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills for cross-skilling with team members.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
