Allied Health Support Professional

The Allied Health Support Professional plays a vital role in providing quality services through professional accountability for standards of work and clinical care.

This position requires working with a highly experienced interdisciplinary Allied Health team across multiple hospital sites throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specific therapeutic interventions and monitor patient response under direction of Allied Health Professionals (AHP) staff.
  • Provide basic education to patients on discreet topics as directed by AHP staff.
  • Assist patients in personal care needs to maintain privacy, cleanliness and dignity during therapy interventions.
  • Perform administrative tasks directly related to patient care and intervention.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with diverse cultural and linguistically backgrounds.
  • Must be eligible for or willing to undertake a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and/or handle equipment and devices.
  • Flexible to work across various therapeutic activities and programs.
