About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Head Baker and Team Leader. As part of our enthusiastic team, you will be working in a highly competitive supermarket environment.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage team members to achieve excellent customer service and sales results.
  • Tailor the store's service and products offering to meet the specific needs of customers in the local area.
  • Order and manage inventory, controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Rostering and scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of work health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Fresh food retail knowledge and experience, preferably in a bakery or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with management, team members, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • A positive attitude and passion for fresh food within the grocery retail industry.
  • Ability to problem solve, lead by example, and motivate others to achieve common goals.
