Poultry Farm Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Poultry Farm Specialist to join our team in Wellington, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control pests and vermin
• Operate farming equipment
• Prepare and clean sheds, equipment, and spread litter for new bird placement
• Set up for depopulation and cleanout
• Catch/hold birds and other aspects of bird handling and welfare activities
• Perform general maintenance of poultry farm grounds
• Clean, disinfect (sanitize) equipment, machines, and buildings within farm confines
• Dismantle farm equipment as needed
• Collect, grade, and store eggs according to company specifications
• Perform vaccinations as required

About the Role:

This is a critical position that requires strong physical fitness and health to handle the demands of the role. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in animal handling, good communication skills, and no history of asthma or dust allergies.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive an attractive hourly rate of $33.75 + Penalty and overtime rates. Approximately 40 hours per week.
